Use up to 100% of this ingredient. It is oil soluble so cannot be used in water only products but can be used in small amounts in water-based gels. A good heat stability means it can be used in stage 1 when making creams and lotions.

History and origins of Hazelnut Oil

Extracted from hazelnuts, in what is now Italy, as far back as the Bronze Age, this oil was an invaluable source of edible fat and as such became an integral kitchen ingredient. In recent years, its high fatty acid content has seen Hazelnut Oil grow in popularity within the cosmetic world too.

How is Hazelnut Oil made?

Organic Hazelnut Oil is made by cold pressing. Grinding, roasting, pressing and then lightly filtering hazelnuts. 

Is Hazelnut Oil suitable for vegans?

Yes, but not for those with a nut allergy.
